I have been making some smaller embroideries for the Artist Open Houses Festival in Brighton

Some of my work will be in 2 of the houses throughout May, Fugitive Ink and The Trojan House

I have also been selected for the East Sussex Open at the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne 23rd July – 25th September and will be exhibiting ‘Fil Rouge’ which is one of the bigger hand embroideries 60cm x 80cm

Here are some recent watercolours from the studio:

And some last minute news, I have just heard that I have been accepted at Brighton University to study Fine Art MA. This will start in September and I will be studying part time over 2 years. Exciting times ahead!

About Shelley Morrow

Since 2011 I have been predominantly a figurative artist with an interest in conveying expression, movement and gesture. I take the drawings I make and explore them through various processes, particularly embroidery, textiles and etchings. I graduated with a BA in Fine Art at Camberwell School of Art in 1990 and currently taking my MA in Fine Art at Brighton University. I also work at Draw in Brighton, running and teaching Life Drawing sessions
